We invite you to take part at the 21^st International Meeting of IHSS “Complex humic systems: in search of chemical, industrial, and regulatory identities”, which will take place on September 17-22, 2022 in Moscow, Russia. The conference will be conducted under auspices of International Humic Substances Society and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Local organizers of the IHSS-21 are Lomonosov Moscow State University and the CIS IHSS Chapter.

In these uneasy times of pandemics, we will work on two different options for the conference venue: one is the Sailing Club “Vodnik” located on the picturesque shores of the Klyasma water reservoir nearby Moscow city, and the other option is the ship cruising along the Volga River. We hope very much on the unique ship atmosphere which will envigorate scientific discussions on definition of humic substances, on evolution of organic matter in time and space, on the role of organic matter in the climate change, on the prospects of non-fuel use of coal, nature-like approaches to carbon sequestration, and many more issues.

We put a very big value on industrial applications of humic substances. This is why we will organize the Third International Exhibition of Humic Products and Technologies in the framework of this IHSS conference. The business partners are very welcome to join this event. We also plan to organize the School for young scientists on instrumental and bioanalytical analysis of humic substances.

Look forward to see you all in Moscow: we hope so much on face-to-face meeting, but we are prepared to hybrid and fully online event. We cannot predict the future, but we can hope to the best.
