Scientific program of the conference includes five main topics:
1. Humic substances as complex systems, their composition and properties.
2. Humic substances and plants.
3. Humic substances and microorganisms.
4. Humic substances, animals and human beings.
5. Humic raw material, humic products and their application.
In addition to scientific sections, there will be the exhibition "Humic products and technologies: achievements and prospects". Russian and foreign companies as well as the product developers are welcome to take part in the exhibition.
The scientific program includes plenary, oral and poster sessions, two round-table discussions, and the IUPAC working group meeting.
The conference will provide a broad platform for new findings in the field of molecular understanding of biological activity of humic substances, structure - biological activity relationships, biological effects on the living systems, a use of bioanalytics, chemo- and bioinformatics for revealing mechanisms of biological activity.
New fields of application of humic substances such as biostimulants, biopesticides, food supplements, premixes, will be reported. The prospects of using humic substances for production of farmaceuticals will be discussed. The IUPAC meeting will be devoted to the prospects of developing the database of molecular components of humic substances based on the data of Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICR MS). This way the conference will combine a cluster of thematically related events adding to its value and enhancing knowledge of humic substances.

ROUND TABLES
1) Trends in crop protection: where is the niche for humates?
2) Functional drinks based on humic substances: benefits or threats?
3) Humic substances as feed additives and pharmaceutical substances.
The round tables will be of interest for researchers working in the field of structural modification of humic substances, as well as for manufacturers of humic products. Perspectives of application of humic substances as medicine delivery agents, combinatorial packaging for antibiotics and antivirals aimed at avoiding multiple resistance, and humic substances as a source of new biologically active compounds will be discussed. The concept of humic-based biostimulants needs to be comprehended in relation to the term "biostimulant" introduced by European Commission. Thus, this round table will be interesting for representatives of the business community. Humics-based functional drinks - a hop-spot topic and a very problematic product, which is taking over the market of healthy food. However, the question arises how safe is this product for dietary consumption. The scientific expertise is needed.
